Test and review Prorhinel Nasal Strips Menthol
These strips are used to spread the nostrils to facilitate the passage of air. Thus we breathe better through the nose and snoring through the mouth would be reduced.
Contents of the box
Inside the box you will find 10 pieces. The strips are stored individually and they are removed from their packaging, much like band-aids.
The positioning
Follow the instructions above, which appear on all packaging, in order to position the strips correctly. They should not be positioned too high or too low above the nostrils. Once removed from their individual packaging, press well so that the tips stick well to your skin. Then spread your nostrils well, the polyester spring should keep them well apart and facilitate the passage of air. You will also smell menthol. In fact, according to the leaflet, the nasal strips are coated with capsules containing menthol, eucalyptus and camphor.
The test
Positioning is easy. I smelled the smell of menthol, but frankly, apart from the pleasant side, it did not help me free my nasal breathing more (it may depend on its nasal congestion… to see…). On the nostril spacing side, it works, but compared to another nasal retractor (see the test) , relatively little. As I move a lot during the night, I lost them. Perhaps, also, because of the glue which does not hurt the skin, but is relatively low in intensity.
Conclusion
Reading the reviews, it seems that it does not work for everyone. You can try, but I would recommend a internal nasal retractor instead.
Price noted: 17€50
Note :
- Better with these strips than with “nothing”
- Lack of hold over a full night
- High price per strip
- Relatively low increase in nasal flow, hence relative effectiveness on snoring
- The menthol smell is not really effective in “freeing” the breath further
