Test and review of the Stop Snoring Solution orthosis

Ordered on AliExpress, several months ago, I finally tested the Orthosis Stop Snoring Solution at 3€! Already having quality orthoses, I was in no hurry to insert this type of product into my mouth all night long! My curiosity finally made me decide to start this test.

So, what is an Orthosis 100 times cheaper than the Resmed Orthosis worth? (3€ versus 300€)

This is what we will see in this test.

First of all, I would like to repeat that you must consult a specialist, the doctor ENT specialist and then a dentist in order to validate the use of an orthosis in your case.

Moreover, this Orthosis, in my opinion, is not regulated in Europe. It does not have a CE standard, and obviously the Orthoses are subject to case 1 of medical devices (this is the smallest standard) and then obtain the CE marking.

Its manual is only in English, it’s a little “borderline”, even if the distributor can make available to the customer a link to a downloadable manual in other languages, which would be, for once, regulatory (I have already received products via Amazon with instructions in English).

Unboxing – contents of the box

Well, as soon as I opened the box, I had a big doubt.

1/ There is only one size and for my mouth, it seemed a bit small

2 / The synonym of oral orthosis in the field of anti-snoring solutions is: mandibular advancement orthosis. I have already explained it in the Resmed Narval orthosis test, the principle of these orthoses is to have a forward offset on the lower part. This has the consequence of freeing the airways at the level of the larynx (to put it simply, in fact, it is between the pharynx and the larynx).

But this gutter is completely aligned! So it’s badly done!

How to use Stop Snoring Solution

Copy-pasted of my translation with my point of view:

1/ Insert the blue rod in the hole in front of the gutter, then put it in a bowl.

2/ Put hot water (about 70-80 degrees C) in the container until the tray is submerged. For information, water boils at 100°, it begins to simmer at 80°. So, to be precise, as soon as it starts to simmer, you pour it into your bowl and then dip the gutter.

3/ Keep the orthosis in the water for 20 seconds, then remove it using the blue insertion handle.

4/ Gently remove the excess water and insert the mouthpiece into the mouth. Adjust the brace to a comfortable position, then bite down using your fingers, from the front to the sides to make a good mold of your teeth and the shape of your gums.

5/ Remove the tray after feeling that all your teeth have left good impressions.

6/ Put the gutter thus formed in cold water to fix your AntirSnore Orthosis and take out the insertion handle.

Thus, it will be perfectly molded. See photo below.

The Stop Snoring Solution test

For the fact that there is only one size, in the end (as far as I am concerned) it has widened a bit and it fits my mouth by about 50% compared to my custom-made RESMED NARVAL. So it’s not great, but hey, the price is divided by 100…

On the other hand, what a pity and ignorance of the manufacturers, no progress of the lower part.

In fact, it’s a custom boxer’s mouth guard…

After the test with my sound analyzer , no difference in snoring.
