Being overweight has an influence on the intensity of snoring. Which makes sense, since fat is lodged in all the tissues of the body, excess fat has the effect of narrowing the passage of air and thus causes the “noise” of snoring.
Therefore, sports activity has a double effect:
- Decrease fat and “liberate” mouth breathing
- Have a better lifestyle, for example by reducing alcohol ( see our article )

You can measure it and monitor its evolution, for example with an impedance meter scale . (prefer a model with handles like this, otherwise the current will only pass through the lower limbs).
The evolution of this rate will certainly be related to the sound level of your snoring, so it should be monitored regularly.
